Reduce the oil in the wastewater of the municipality.
That is the goal of the Department of Agriculture, Industry and Sustainable Development Lorquí City Council, which has joined the "Campaign to collect used cooking oil" promoted by the Regional Government, directing particular attention to the school community in the municipality.
Thus, this action aims to recycle used cooking oil as the spilled product to sink odors occur, difficult to clean water and a breeding ground for microorganisms harmful to health.
Furthermore, this recycling encourages the growth of renewable energy because it contributes to the production of biodiesel, and significantly reduces the recycle time in the sewer.
Children
The local council in collaboration with the company "Acciona" and schools in the county, will work with the children the issue of the importance of recycling.
In this vein, students who participate in the task of oil recycling will receive a small gift.
Thus, the ilorcitanos can deposit used oil in the following places: in public schools "Jesus Garcia" and "Dolores Escámez" (only for students of those schools), the local council, the office water "Acciona "and in the hamlet of Los Palacios.
"Our goal is to raise awareness of environmental risk is throwing the used oil down the drain," said Juan Perea, local Councillor for Agriculture, Industry and Sustainable Development.
"The collection of domestic oil not only prevents it from being discharged into the sewer but also is a boost to renewable energy," said Perea.
