Lorquí lived on the night of Oct. 2 on Friday one of the most moving events are remembered in the town.
And Mariano García Abenza, known locally as "Mariana El Grillo" and recently deceased, was a glowing tribute in a ceremony which officially opened a square that bears his name.
This act, set in the celebration of the Feast of the Rosary of the town, was chaired by the local mayor, Dolores Garcia Villa, who at the end of a bouquet of flowers delivered to the widow of Mariano García Abenza, Lola, who attended the tribute with his son Mariano, who recalled the enthusiasm and emotion demonstrated before his father died before this recognition, and a wide family representation.
Mariano, a professional baker and he was Councillor of the Consistory ilorcitano decades, served as justice of the peace in the town for 27 years.
In the speeches he recalled as "a gentleman, a man with capital letters, polite, kind and never hurt anyone."
