Lorquí Local Police will shortly have a new vehicle for carrying out its duties in the municipality, through the investment of about € 23,000 to the City Council held ilorcitano.
This action will include a grant of 21,500 euros from the Directorate General of Local Government, Institutional and External Relations of the Regional Government, an item under the "Fund for the improvement of policing 2009."
The car in question is a Peugeot 308 1.4 VTi Confort, with five doors and 95 hp, fully equipped for police service.
This vehicle will join the fleet of uniformed ilorcitano, with three cars (two cars and an SUV) and two off-road motorcycles Yamaha XT model 650 CC.
The mayor ilorcitana, Dolores García Villa, said: "This acquisition is positive for the municipality, as any measure to improve our police service will always be reflected in the increased safety and quality of life for our neighbors ".
